Seven Segments, an installations directed and created by R. Martini in 2016 with the collaborative efforts of Pippa Possible and Kara McMullen.

Using wool Rue spun seven skeins of yarn and then dyed them using natural indigo dye.

Then using a “Feelings Circle” mapped the emotions from an incestuous trauma experienced ten years prior. The chart was used as a template for the floating weaving which the yarn passes.

The copper and skin sculpture was designed using Wilhem Reich’s body layers theories to process the feelings.

The path of the trauma threads are then spread over the bodies armor created using Rue as a model.
